Parent Night 1

8/30/18 Standards Based Grading and PBIS

Join me for a night to help you understand GMS's Standards Based Grading (SBG) protocol and our Positive Behavior Intervention System (PBIS). I hope that this night will help parents further understand the expectations for our GMS students.

There will also be a Q & A section for parents to have a chance to ask any questions about GMS's procedures and activities. We hope parents will leave feeling even more comfortable and confident in their student's overall education at GMS.

Parent Night 3

1/30/19 High School Registration for "Dummies"  **date is tentative**

Overwhelmed by the idea of registering your student for high school?! Don't worry! I've got you covered! I will go over graduation requirements and what you NEED to know to register your rising freshman.
If you have not already had a student go through high school, this presentation will be immensely helpful and slower paced than the freshman orientation night at GHS.

Parent Night 4

3/28/2019  Social Media and What You THINK You Know **Date is tentative**

Social Media...Where would we be without it? But with additional freedom comes additional temptations that many of our students are NOT prepared for.
Join us for a discussion of issues that we see at GMS from social media. This presentation will include data from YOUR students, about how they use and misuse technology. This has been very eye opening information for many parents, in the past.

If there is a topic that you would like to see addressed in a Parent Night, please let me know! I want to make these nights as beneficial to our parents as I can.
